Harmony at the One Belt One Road Initiative

In 10 November 2018, The Institute of International Harmony and Sustainable Development (the Institute) organized a side event, “Harmony at the One Belt One Road Initiative”, in conjunction with the World Chinese Economic Forum with the cooperation of Kingsley Advisory & Strategic Initiatives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The theme of the side event was “How to resolve cultural conflicts, to seek for common values and to create a better tomorrow: in search for mutual appreciation and cooperation in different religions, social systems, social services, as well as legal system and supporting the prosperity and sharing of the One Belt One Road Initiative”, aiming at exploring peaceful diplomacy and economic co-construction from the cultural, educational, social and legal perspectives with the Sri Lankan and Chinese experiences. The side event was well-received by numerous participants at the Conference in Malaysia, and they believed that the experience discussed inspired them to think of the solutions to the problems in Malaysia.

International Symposium on “Diaspora in Foreign Policy and International Relations” jointly organized by the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Malaysia), the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and the Institute of International Harmony and Sustainable Development of our Foundation.
