In real life, there are a lot of chains binding us, such as poverty, low self-esteem and image, a lack of positive attitude towards life, gender inequality in education, interreligious violent conflicts, so we have no freedom. Those chains stem from discouragements and woundslike wars, hostilities, violence, religious conflicts, they have directly hindered the growth of our life and hampered us from developing towards abundance and prosperity. These chains may even destroy our life, family and society completely. Many people have felt that they are being controlled by some bondages, bad habits or emotions. Faith could help those people, since the power of the cross breaks all bondages and the authority of the darkness. When human life is built up by the gospel, one will certainly prevail against the bondages, break the oppression to enjoy freedom again, and enter into a victorious and abundant life. Bishop Dennis Ng Victory Ministries Foundation is established by the motivation of faith and that through this power there can be change at the individual, family and community life impacting all aspects of our life. We recognize that peace with peace with one’s self is the starting point through faith for peace in the world recognizing that the faith in Jesus Christ and the cross stands as a significant symbol of peace in the world today. United Nations Accredited Non-Governmental OrganizationOn 3 December 2021, the United Nations sent a congratulatory letter to The Bishop Dennis Ng Victory Ministries Foundation Limited, announcing the decision of the United Nations Economic and Social Council to grant special consultative status to the organization. Special consultative status of the United Nations is granted to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which have expertise and are concerned about certain activities of the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The Economic and Social Council recognize important international NGOs through the granting of special consultative status. This is therefore an important symbol of recognition of international NGOs. It is also an important avenue for NGOs to participate in the affairs of the United Nations, and to give effect to the role of these organizations in international affairs. Through obtaining special consultative status of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, our organization may participate in economic and social related issues, activities, and international conferences of the United Nations through such platform, to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and to promote sustainable development, harmony and social cohesion in China and the world. Our organization, established in 2006 in Hong Kong, China, which adheres to the purpose of building life with the gospel of Christ, advocates for the crossing of boundaries of borders, race and religion, in order to promote sustainable development of personal, family, social and cultural relationships in the direction of harmony and cohesion, and to enter into a successful and prosperous life through the reshaping of values and developing a positive attitude to life. With the United Nations consultative status, our organization has further avenues to communicate with the United Nations Secretariat, the Economic and Social Council and other subsidiary agencies of the United Nations. Under resolution 1996/31 of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, NGOs with special consultative status may enjoy the right to establish institutions and permanent representatives at the United Nations headquarters and at its offices in New York, Geneva and Vienna; to designate representatives to attend meetings of the Council and of its subsidiary bodies as observers; to submit written statements related to the work of the United Nations Economic and Social Council and distributed to 54 members after being adopted by the United Nations Secretary-General; to participate in relevant United Nations international conferences and meetings of their preparatory bodies, to make brief statements and submit written reports; to be entrusted by the United Nations Economic and Social Council and its subsidiary bodies to conduct special research, investigations or prepare specific documents for the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations, and the right to participate in the United Nations NGO related activities and submit regular work reports. |
